As Nissan took the initiative to improve air quality and support the Hong Kong SAR Government on promoting zero-emission mobility, Honest Motors Limited, authorized dealer of Nissan in Hong Kong recently arranged an Electric Vehicle – LEAF test drive event for a number of Hong Kong corporations in its Headquarters in Yokohama, Japan. Besides Hong Kong Government representatives, Hopewell Holdings Limited, Hongkong Electric Holdings Limited, CLP Holdings Limited, the Hong Kong Jockey Club, Shui On Construction And Materials Limited, Kum Shing Construction Company Limited, Swire Properties Limited, Vitasoy International Holdings Limited, the Peninsula Hong Kong, Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Company Limited, etc, were also invited. Test drive results were inspiring, as corporations were satisfied with the performance of LEAF and confident with the Government’s infrastructure support.
The first batch of Nissan EV LEAF is expected to arrive Hong Kong in the first quarter of 2011. It will be sold to different departments of the Hong Kong Government and green corporations. Currently the Hong Kong SAR, Hopewell Holdings Limited, Hongkong Electric Holdings Limited, CLP Holdings Limited, Airport Authority Hong Kong and Swire Properties Limited are under negotiations and show strong interested in purchasing the LEAF in order to contribute to making a better society, economy and environment through the commitment to as a green corporate citizen.
