Nissan in Europe has reported sales of 42,835 units in May, representing an increase of 15% year on year with a market share of 2.8%. TIV decreased by 5% versus May 2009.
Due to the start of scrapping incentive schemes in Russia, the TIV is above last year. The UK and Spain were also strong and above last year in May. The TIV in France, Germany and Italy were below last year’s levels at -9% -32% and -13% respectively.

“In fluctuating TIV trend, Nissan in Europe reached the forecasted 2.8% market share in May, 0.2pts above last year. Qasqhai confirms its success in May with 24% growth year on year and Pixo gives a significant volume contribution to the brand.”
